Officers were at the scene with a recovered stolen vehicle when they observed another pull into the parking lot. Officers booked Ernesto Roosma, 24, into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of paraphernalia and false information.
11 E. 1700 S.
A man was seen stealing food and was confronted by the clerk who was carrying a baseball bat and mace. The victim then placed the food back and began to leave the store. The clerk then struck the victim several times with the baseball bat. The victim did not suffer serious injuries. Officers booked Amnol Singh, 20, into jail for aggravated assault.
328 W. 2100 S.
Officers were dispatched to a parking lot on a report of a male threatening a female with a rifle. Information was given to dispatch that the suspect had initially threatened the female with a knife, and then threatened her with a rifle. The caller stated the male was separated from the rifle at this point and had placed it on his vehicle hood. Officers took the suspect into custody and booked Joseph Dambrose, 66, into jail for aggravated assault.
