Officers were dispatched on a man acting violent and throwing rocks at nearby citizens. When confronted the male fled from officers and they gave chase. The suspect ran into a creek and was shin deep in mud. The suspect emptied his drugs into the creek. The man then picked up a stick and threatened officers. A K9 was deployed and the suspect was bitten and taken into custody. After being treated by medical at a local hospital officers booked Scott James Smith, 37, into jail for aggravated assault, assault, interference, obstruction of justice, false information, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three men entered the Seven Eleven and robbed the clerk. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash. All three men were wearing dark colored long sleeved shirts, masks, and gloves. Two suspects were armed with handguns and the third had a shotgun. The suspects fled in a black sedan.

A man ran into the Maverik and collapsed on the ground due to being struck in the arm with several bb’s from a shotgun blast. An employee from the nearby McDonalds heard the first shot and looked outside and was also shot in the arm with a bb from a second shotgun blast. The first victim was uncooperative with officers and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. No further description. Several spent shell casings from a shotgun were collected from the scene. Investigation ongoing.

Two men entered the Maverik while the clerk was in the backroom. When the suspects didn’t see the clerk they left the store and got into a red colored sedan that was waiting nearby. A witness that observed the men leaving the store was confronted and threatened with a gun. The suspects were wearing masks over their faces with dark colored clothing and one was carrying a shotgun. No further description.
