Threats with a gun

The complainant called about an ongoing dispute with her ex-boyfriend, Juan Olvera, 20, who had threatened to shoot her brother and her house. Responding Officers located Olvera hiding near a vehicle at 1500 S. 1000 W. Officers found an AR-15 under the car he was next to, and after discussions with Olvera they determined to write a search warrant for his car. The warrant was approved and inside the car Officers located a Glock pistol, ammunition, a spent shell casing and approximately one pound of marijuana. Both firearms were stolen from separate burglaries in 2016 and Juan was booked into jail for possession of the stolen firearms, possession of firearms by a restricted person, possession of a deadly weapon with criminal intent and distribution.
