Officers responded on a trespasser at the city library. When the suspect was approached he fled on foot and officers gave chase. The suspect was taken into custody. Officers booked Tyler Dancy, 21, into jail for resisting arrest and trespassing.

Assault

Officers responded on a fight and determined that a man was punched and knocked to the ground. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. The suspect is described as a middle aged white male adult, with a black hoodie and is bald. Investigation ongoing.

Assault on a police officer

Officers responded on an aggressive male. Upon arrival the suspect punched an officer and was taken into custody. Officers booked Jose Besset, 59, into jail for assault on a police officer and criminal mischief. No officers were injured.

3:48 a.m.
Aggravated burglary
1400 W. 800 S.

A man and woman were inside their residence when they heard a knock on the back door. As they opened the door both were assaulted by a male suspect with a blunt object. The male suspect was accompanied by a female suspect. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. A large sum of cash was taken from the home. The victims know the suspects and it is believed they were targeted for their money. Through investigative efforts both suspects were later located. Officers booked Kelvin Edward Tate, 28, and Samantha Lee Harward, 27, into jail for aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.
