Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Officers located a stolen vehicle and took the suspect into custody. The suspect resisted arrest and a Taser was used to gain compliance. Officers booked Modesto Nance, 29, into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.
1500 N. Mandalay Rd.
Dispatch received multiple calls of shots fired. Officers located more than 20 spent shell casings in the street, but found no evidence of anything being struck. Area hospitals were contacted but no victims were discovered. A short time later a vehicle was found with several bullet holes. The occupants were located and one had an abrasion to his side. Investigation is ongoing as the victim knows the suspect that shot at them.
