Assault on police officer/Foot pursuit

Two officers observed Andrew Marsden (25) smoking spice. Upon making contact one officer went to their vehicle to run the subject on their computer for a positive identification and warrants. When Marsden attempted to stand up, the other officer placed their hand on his shoulder to assist him back to a seated position. Marsden punched the officer in the head with a closed fist and fled on foot. Marsden was taken into custody a short distance away. The officer sustained minor injuries.
