The victim was selling a necklace online and met with Cameron Mullahkhel (23) who had agreed to buy the necklace.  While discussing the price of the necklace in the victim’s car, Mullahkel pointed a handgun at the victim and took the necklace.  The victim, a concealed carry holder, exited the driver’s side of the car and took out his own gun as Mullahkel exited the passenger side of the car while still pointing his gun at the victim.  The victim demanded the necklace back while Cameron backed away from the car into the nearby breezeway.  Mullahkel then fired his gun at the victim and the victim returned fire. Several rounds were fired by each individual. The victim was struck once in the foot and Mullahkel was struck once in the abdomen.  After the shooting, Mullahkel fled on foot eastbound and was located a short time later near the where he was taken into custody and the gun and necklace were recovered.  Both individuals were treated for their injuries at separate hospitals.  Mullahkel was booked for aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, and possession with intent to distribute.
