Burglary

Officers responded to a burglary in progress. Officers were able to make contact with two suspects at the scene. Jeff Evans, 30 and Jose Franco, 32 were booked into jail for burglary.

Metro Gang detectives developed information that led them to believe that Javier Pena who was wanted for questioning was at the above address. Detectives made contact and were able to interview Pena.

3:22 a.m.
Shooting
1416 S. State St.

Victims were staying at the above location. They were approached by a male who stated he was cold and asked if he could come inside the room. At some point while in the room, the male produced a gun and shot one of the victims. The suspect then fled the room. The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 50s wearing a read hoodie and a blue baseball cap. Victim was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
