Assault on a police officer
1450 S. West Temple St.
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. Upon arrival officers discovered a male that was intoxicated in a stairwell. Officers assisted the male to his feet, however, once on his feet the male struck one of the officers in the face. The male then resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody. Jeffrey Murray, 26, was transported to the hospital for minor injuries sustained during the confrontation and extreme intoxication.

Officers heard several shots fired in the area of 400 South 600 West. A short time later, officers observed a large group of individuals at the above address. Upon seeing officers the individuals in the group ran. All of the individuals were located and questioned about the shots being fired. During the investigation, officers located shell casings in front of a storage unit at the above address. During the execution of a search warrant on the storage unit, a stolen rifle was recovered. Christopher Ridgway, 44, was booked into jail for possession of a weapon by a restricted person. Bobby Ridgway, 25, was booked into jail for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a weapon by a restricted person.
