Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. 1861 W. California Ave.
Officers received several calls of a red Honda driving recklessly near Jordan Park. The driver and vehicle had been suspected in an earlier robbery. Officers located the vehicle and the driver high centered the car and fled on foot. After a short search the suspect was located. Chastity Quintana, 37, was booked for robbery, hit and run, fleeing and resisting arrest.
1659 W. North Temple St.
Two victims were exiting the parking lot of the above address in their vehicle when they were approached by two people on foot. The two on foot began to throw rocks at the windshield of the vehicle. The victim attempted to stop and talk to the suspects and was assaulted with a knife. The victim received a small laceration on his hand. A backpack was taken from one of the victims. The same suspects located the victims at a nearby address later and broke the passenger side windows of their vehicle. Suspects are described as a male white and female white adult, 25 years old, driving a black Dodge Caravan with no visible plate.
50 S. 300 E.
Victim was walking carrying a bag of groceries. A male exited a vehicle, brandished a handgun and demanded the groceries. The victim complied and the suspect got back into the vehicle and fled the scene. No description on the suspect or suspect vehicle.
500 E. 300 S.
A male victim was approached by two males. One of them, a Hispanic male adult, brandished a gun and told the victim to give him his stuff or he would be shot. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.
600 S. Elizabeth St.
A male victim was approached by two males. One of them brandished a gun and told the victim to give him his stuff. The male turned over his belongings and was told to turn around and run which the victim complied.
400 S. 200 E.
Suspects matching the description of the three previous robberies approached a male victim and ordered him to empty his pockets. The victim ran out into the street to flag down help and the suspects fled on foot. The victim was able to flag down an officer and the suspect description and vehicle were sent out. A UHP Trooper was able to find the vehicle and a stop was made with the assistance of other patrol units. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and a handgun was recovered from the vehicle. David Montoya, 20, Cameron Dallas, 18 and Kira Smith, 18 were all booked into jail for aggravated robbery.
