1659 W. North Temple St. – Rm 123
Officers responded to the above location on reports of several shots having been fired. They located two sets of shell casings, each set a different caliber, approximately 25 meters apart and two holes in the plate glass window of room 123. A search warrant was executed on the room. The occupant, Lana Russell 42, was taken into custody for felony warrants and new drug-related charges, her involvement in the shooting has not yet been determined. No one was reported to be injured from the shooting but local hospitals were notified. The other parties involved have not been identified at this time.
1465 S. State St.
The suspect entered the store and pointed a handgun at the victim clerk. The suspect demanded cash and the victim saw the suspect put the money in a black backpack. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic adult, 5’10”, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a mask over mouth and nose area, and blue jeans.
1305 S. 900 E.
A male was driving his PT Cruiser southbound on 900 E. He attempted to turn east on 1300 S. and went into a sideways skid. The car hit the building at 1305 S. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. The driver was processed for possible DUI.
