Media Availability: SLCPD Invites Media to SWAT School This Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites media representatives to observe SWAT School training this coming Sunday, April 29, from 6:15-7:45 a.m. 22 candidates will navigate a complex obstacle course requiring physical stamina, leadership, and teamwork.
Known for its intensity and rigor, the Department’s SWAT School will host candidates from multiple local law enforcement agencies, and security forces Airmen from the Air National Guard.

|WHERE:||The SWAT obstacle course is near the Utah State Prison at approximately 14000 South on the west frontage road of Interstate 15. Take the 14300 South exit off I-15, turn west and then an immediate right on Pony Express Road (frontage road north). The obstacle course is approximately a quarter mile on the left (west) side of the road.|
A subject matter expert will be on hand to explain the training.
