Three people entered the store and waited for other patrons to leave the store. One of the suspects approached the counter and placed a bag on the counter. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk went to the rear of the store and stated she needed the manager to get the money. The suspects fled the scene a short time later. No money was taken. The suspects were described as #1 a black or Polynesian female in her 20’s with a white top and black spandex shorts. #2 black female 20’s, brown leather jacket and faded jeans with cuts. #3 a male or female with dark corn rows down the center and loose on the sides, a moustache and a purple backpack.
A person discharged a gun on the Northwest corner of Liberty park. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a grey hoodie. He was last seen fleeing on foot at 962 S. 500 E. The suspect was not located.
Shortly following the release of officers responsible for the parade route public order, reports came in that there were several fights breaking out on the Northwest Corner of the park. Another report came in that a gun was involved but no weapon was located. All available officers in the city responded to the park due to the size and defiance of the crowd. Order was restored once the crowd dissipated.
