Recovered stolen firearm
1450 S. W. Temple

Officers responded to the area of 1450 S. West Temple on reports of teenagers making noise and drinking. Officers arrived on scene and several juveniles attempted to flee the area. Several were detained. During the course of the investigation a stolen handgun was located on one of the juveniles. He was taken to youth detention.

3:30 a.m.
Aggravated robbery
490 N. Redwood Road

The suspect entered the store at this location and demanded money while brandishing a weapon. The suspect then fled the store and was spotted driving away by an officer that was in the area. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle got onto Legacy Highway heading North. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed in Davis County. The vehicle then caught fire and officers pulled the driver from the vehicle before it was totally engulfed in flames. The driver had injuries that required medical attention. The driver was identified as a male juvenile.
