Detectives were looking for a wanted person when they observed a male and female get into an SUV that had stolen license plates on it. The officers tried to stop the suspects from entering the SUV, but were too late. The driver put the SUV in reverse and rammed the police car to move it. He then swerved the car in an attempt to hit an officer with the SUV. The suspect fled and the officers pursued. The pursuit ended in the Park Place Apartments parking lot. The suspect fled on foot. Containment was established. The female occupant was located trying to walk out of the complex. She positively identified the suspect. Through research officers were able to connect the SUV to an apartment. A witness said he saw a male enter that the same apartment.
