Fatal auto-pedestrian accident
1465 W. 500 N.
A nine-year-old female victim was chasing her dog and ran into the street after the animal and did not look before entering the roadway. The victim was struck by an SUV traveling westbound. The driver drove around the corner and stopped. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
1785 W. 400 N.
A two year-old female victim ran out into the roadway and was struck by a car driven by a male adult. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver was charged with DUI, enhanced due to serious injury.
