Assault on a Police Officer

A JetBlue flight from San Francisco to New York was forced to divert to Salt Lake City International Airport due to an unruly passenger, officers met the plane at the gate. The male walked off the plane once the door was opened, but shortly after refused to comply with officer’s commands and began to resist. The male was taken to the ground and a drive stun from a taser was used to gain compliance. While being placed in a police vehicle the male spit on one of the officer’s faces. Brian Regan, 53, was booked in to jail for assault on a police officer, interfering with arresting officer, disorderly conduct and intoxication.
