Search warrant/Distribution of narcotics
800 N. Sir Patrick Drive
Narcotics detectives developed probable cause for a search warrant for a residence. SLCPD SWAT served the warrant and detained the individuals inside. The residence was turned over to Narcotics and Street Crimes detectives for processing. During the search 23.1 grams of meth, 33.4 grams of heroin, 2.8 grams of marijuana, .2 grams of cocaine, and 26 firearms (6 stolen) were seized, along with $8,936 in cash. Three persons were booked into jail for multiple charges including, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of drug lab equipment, possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants. The health department responded to the scene and closed the home to occupancy. Tetlo Goings, 60, Zelo Goings, 56, and Tresa Morris, 36, were booked into jail.

Toby Kartchner, 39 attempted to swing a 3-foot piece of re-bar at the victim. Arriving officers observed Kartchner walking down the middle of the street, swinging the re-bar. At a moment while he was distracted, an officer tackled Kartchner and took him into custody without injury. Kartchner was booked into jail for aggravated assault, disturbing the peace, and walking in the roadway.

Jeff Homer, 59, entered the Key Bank at this address and approached teller, He threw a bag at her, brandished a box cutter and demanded cash from the till. Once he had obtained the money he fled on foot. He was located by Officers a short distance away and positively identified by the victim. Cash from the robbery was found on his person.
676 N. Redwood Rd.
Two males entered the Maverik store at the above location and selected 1 case of Budweiser and 2 cases of Bud Light. The first suspect intimated that he had a weapon up his sleeve, but no weapon was actually seen. Both fled out the front door to an awaiting silver 4-door car. The vehicle was last seen driving eastbound. The first suspect is described as a male Polynesian adult 6 feet tall, stocky build, long hair with a purple bandana covering his face. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a gray shirt underneath. The second suspect was described as a male Polynesian adult, shorter, muscular build, short hair, wearing a white hoodie with “CAL” written on the front.
