Assault on police officer

Officers responded on reports of a suspicious person with a knife. Upon arrival they located and detained a man. While attempting to take the male into custody the suspect struck an officer with his head, a short struggle ensued and the suspect was taken into custody. The officer was not injured. Officers booked Joshua Funk, 28, into jail for assault on a police officer, possession of a weapon by a restricted person, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
