Auto Pedestrian Accident
25 N. Redwood Rd.
A 24 year old female began to cross Redwood Road with a green light, however the light changed before she was halfway across the street. The female was struck by a vehicle travelling at low speed, then was struck by a second vehicle travelling at a higher rate of speed, both of which had a green light. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Neither driver was injured. Investigation ongoing.
Hit and Run Auto Pedestrian Accident
100 S. Main St.
A 36 year old male was standing in the roadway outside the crosswalk at this address. A white Lexus SUV travelling westbound on 100 South struck the male and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.Officers on scene developed suspect information and the suspect was located a short time later. Todd Smith, 49, was booked in to jail for felony hit and run, felony DUI and open container.
1609 S. 1100 E.
Three males entered the 7-11 at this address. The suspects produced a weapon and assaulted the clerk. The males demanded money and the clerk complied. The suspects fled the scene with merchandise and an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspects are described as male Hispanic or Polynesian adults. Two wearing black sweatshirts and one wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with an Under Armour logo on the front. They were last seen fleeing in an orange colored vehicle, possibly a Kia Soul.
