Ismael Soto, 25, entered Cricket wireless and stole two cell phones. The employee confronted Ismael and Ismael threatened him and motioned to his waistband as if he had a weapon. Ismael then went over to Metro PCS and attempted to enter the store as the employee was locking the door. She stated that he could not come he then forced the doors open, and pushed her out of the way. The employee left the store to call for help. Ismael stole $100 worth of cellphone chargers and fled the scene. Ismael was located near Smith’s on 600 N. and fled from officers on a bicycle. Officers followed him and arrested him a short distance away. He was booked into jail on related charges.

The victim was outside the residence at 850 S. 900 W. A male approached and addressed her by her name and also mentioned the homeowner by name and the fact she was in a medical facility. As the victim walked toward the door to call the owner, the suspect jumped the fence and held a knife to her back telling her to go into the house. Once inside the house he put the knife away and pulled out a handgun and held it near her head. The suspect took the victim’s purse and a black winter coat before walking across the street to the Smith’s parking lot and getting into an older model gold Toyota Camry. The suspect is described as male Hispanic adult, in his late 30s, light skin, 6’1”, thin build, dark hair, brown eyes, tattoos on arms and legs, oval, black-rimmed glasses. He wore a white shirt, gray and white camo shorts and black shoes.
