Officer Involved Critical Incident
580 S. 500 W.
Officers were dispatched to the above address on a violent psychiatric problem. When the suspect opened the door, shots were fired. One officer was struck in the arm and the suspect was killed. Officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was later released in good condition. Suspect pronounced dead on the scene. OICI Protocol initiated and Unified PD will be taking over the investigation.
Robbery & Drug Arrest
480 W 20 N
Dispatch received several calls stating that a male had been beaten and robbed. A description of the vehicle the suspects were driving was given. Officers located the victim at about the same time the vehicle was located at another address. After further investigation it was determined that Henry Hall, 18, had come into Salt Lake to sell drugs to Abraham Anoso, 19. Anoso robbed Hall of the drugs and assaulted Hall. Hall was taken to jail for distribution of a controlled substance. Anoso was taken to jail for robbery. The person who was driving the suspect vehicle was under the influence as well and was processed for DUI.
