128 N. 900 W.
Officers responded on report of a robbery at the Fresh Market Express gas station located at 128 N. 900 W. The victim was working as a clerk at the gas station when Marty Groves, 37, walked in and grabbed a tire repair kit off the shelf. AP opened the kit and took the tire punch in hand ordering the victim to give him cigarettes while holding the punch in a threatening manner out towards the victim. Groves took a pack of cigarettes and left the store. Officers located Groves at 300 N. 900 West and attempted to take him into custody, Groves began resisting and was taken to the ground. Groves was taken to jail for Robbery.

An unknown subject wearing a fluffy gray winter coat, gray scarf, gray gloves, and a fake mustache approached the Zions Bank teller and produced a handwritten note indicating they had a weapon and to give them money. No weapon was observed. The teller complied and the unknown subject was last seen leaving northbound on Main street. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
210 East 400 South
The victim walked to the Public Safety Building lobby with lacerations to his face from a fight that occurred in the Library Square block. The victim stated that a male he knows accused him of owing him money. The victim stated that he did not, and the suspect punched him in the face several times with a pair of silver brass knuckles. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
