Officers responded on reports of a man throwing rocks and other objects at vehicles parked on the roadway in the area. Additional calls were received as the suspect worked his way towards downtown, updated as carrying an axe and hitting cars with it. He was ultimately stopped at 350 E 300 S. He was swinging a broken rake and had used that to smash several vehicle windows. When officers confronted him, he immediately stopped, dropped the rake and assumed a prone position on the ground. The subject was identified as a juvenile and was released to his mother.

The victim was with his girlfriend outside of a bar when he ran into an old associate. The associate gave the victims girlfriend a hug that upset the victim. The victim began to fight with his associate. During the fight a bottle was broken, and the victim was stabbed in the back several times. The associate fled the scene, the victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
