Recovered Stolen Handgun

Hotel security notified officers they observed a handgun and drug paraphernalia in a room. Responding officers discovered the renter had a felony warrant. He and another occupant were taken into custody when they opened the door. The occupants of the rooms went to jail on warrants. Security requested that we look for and remove the gun and drug paraphernalia. Drug paraphernalia and a stolen gun were observed under the bed. Officers secured the scene and obtained a warrant for the room. Charges will be screened.
Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person
315 N. Admiral Byrd Rd.
Officers were sent to check-the-welfare of a female, who had texted a friend asking for help. The text included a picture of her boyfriend holding a gun with drug paraphernalia next to him. Officers obtained a warrant and found a loaded gun, paraphernalia, and miscellaneous drugs in the room. Ruben Ross, 59, and Meredith Kaly, 46, went to jail for various charges, including possession of a firearm by restricted person, drugs, and paraphernalia.

The suspect jumped over the pharmacy counter, grabbed product off the shelf, and headed towards the doors. The victim tried to stop the suspect. The suspect punched the victim in the face, breaking his glasses and fled westbound on foot. The suspect was described as a skinny male black, 20-30s years old, Levi jacket with grey hood and a red and white box design on the back of the hoodie, black and neon green shoes, and black pants.
Enticing a Minor

Undercover detectives made arrangements to meet Brandon Durham, 38, who believed he was meeting a minor for sexual contact. Durham was booked into jail for enticing a minor and resisting arrest.
