600 N. Warm Springs Road
Officers were out looking for a male with warrants. Two males got into a white car and drove from the area where they were looking for the male. Officers believed the male was in the car. Officers initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle fled and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle pulled over and both males fled. John Samamanieg, 39, was caught after a short foot pursuit. He was arrested for fleeing. The other male, Graciano Sanchez, 36, fled and containment was set up in the area. An officer with a K9 located Sanchez hiding in a bush. Sanchez received a bite to his thigh. Sanchez was taken to the hospital for the bite wound. Sanchez had multiple felony warrants including aggravated assault. He was arrested on his warrants and for fleeing.

An officer was working an OT shift at the Sugarhouse Shelter when he observed Nathaniel Woody 46, actively assaulting shelter security. The officer gave verbal commands to Woody to stop the assault, but Woody refused. The officer deployed his K9 and Woody was bit on the arm. The injury was very superficial due to the amount of clothing the Woody was wearing. Woody was booked into jail for assault, public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Detectives were investigating drug sales from the above address. A warrant was issued, and the SWAT team served the warrant on the location. A gun was recovered as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia. Javier Urcino 22, was arrested for distribution of drugs and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
