601 E. 1300 S.
Officers responded on a citizen complaint of two males selling drugs in the park and located one of the males. As officers attempted to contact the male, he fled on foot through the park but was quickly apprehended by officers. The suspect resisted arrest resulting in several additional officers responding to assist. Officers located marijuana, scales, over $600 in cash and a knife on the suspect. Don Washington-Balthazar, 28, was booked for multiple charges from this incident and several outstanding warrants.
1355 S. Main St.
The victim was walking down the sidewalk at Harrison Ave. and Major St. when he was approached by two Polynesian males. They chased the victim and pushed him to the ground and stole his wallet and phone. The victim cut open his head when he hit the ground and was transported to an area hospital. There is limited suspect information.
151 E. Downington Ave.
Officers responded to a disturbance. Officers contacted a woman who tried to hit a victim with a large metal weeding tool. As Officers attempted to place the suspect into custody, she resisted arrest. During the struggle, one officer was poked in the right index finger by an unknown object, possibly a needle or broken glass pipe. Per exposure protocol, the suspect was transported to a local hospital and a warrant was obtained for her blood. The injured officer was treated at a local hospital for the possible significant exposure. Kathleen Prutzman, 53, was then booked into jail for aggravated assault, possession of paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
