A victim called police to report shots being fired at his home. Responding officers found that the victim’s pickup truck parked on the street in front of the home had been shot multiple times. One of the bullets went through the truck and impacted the house, continued into the kitchen near another victim. Luckily no one was injured. Officers followed up and located a suspect vehicle in North Salt Lake. As officers approached the vehicle, they observed spent shell casings on the floor of the vehicle. Contact was made at the residence, however the occupants initially refused to come out. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and residence. The occupants of the address eventually surrendered, and all exited the residence. Jacqueline Barajas-Macias, 20, was arrested on charges related to this incident.

A call was received reporting an active fight involving several males out in the street. A second call was received shortly after reporting the fight, as well as a single gunshot. Responding officers found two victims, who both had minor physical injuries from being assaulted. The two men are roommates and had been hosting a soiree at their residence. A group of people they were not acquainted with crashed the party and were rowdy. When the group was asked to leave, they became hostile and assaulted the two victims. One assailant produced a gun which he brandished before pointing it at the victims. The suspect then fired a single shot into the air. The group then fled the area in a black sedan of unknown make or model. A single shell casing was recovered.
