Verizon was attempting to install a new 5G cell phone tower when 10-12 protesters arrived, upset that 5G was being installed. One of the protesters chained himself to the foundation and refused to leave. Officers continued a dialogue with the protesters who indicated they believed a call was coming from the city about revoking the permit. When that call did not come by approximately 12:30 p.m. the protesters agreed to leave.

Occupied Stolen Vehicle

The victim located his vehicle which had been recently stolen. The victims friend attempted to detain the suspect but was dragged by the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. The victims followed the vehicle until it went down a dead end street at which time they again confronted the suspect. An altercation ensued and all 3 individuals sustained minor injuries. Officers responded and were able to locate the suspect hiding in a building. Michael Price, 28, was booked into jail for theft, assault, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
