Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Assault on Police Officer
400 W. North Temple St.
Officers responded on a domestic call involving a juvenile who was driving a vehicle while under the influence. The juvenile had crashed the vehicle and had been detained. During the course of the investigation the juvenile became unruly and began kicking at officers as well as spitting and coughing at them. He was restrained and a spit hood was placed over his face. A warrant was written for his bodily fluids and will be tested for HIV, DUI, as well as Covid. Several officers were placed on leave due to possible exposure. The juvenile was transported to Detention.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
435 S. 900 E.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 900 E. 400 S. on the stolen Jeep Cherokee that had its GPS showing in that area. Officers located the stolen Jeep backed into the driveway of the residence located at 435 S. 900 E. Contact was made and the suspect was identified as Austin Epps, 27. Officers obtained a search warrant for the home and found the keys to the stolen vehicle inside along with heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A female in the home, Janell Robb, also had an active F2 warrant for her arrest. Epps was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into Jail. Janell was arrested for her active warrant and booked into jail. Charges for possession of methamphetamine, heroin and paraphernalia will be screened later.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and during the course of the investigation found that the driver, Perry Stott, 40, who was on parole for homicide, and was in possession of a stolen handgun. The other occupant, Leavander Starks, 37, was a parole fugitive. AP&P took custody of both suspects and transported them to prison.
