Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Occupied Stolen Vehicle
1354 S. Major St.
Officers were patrolling this area and observed a vehicle that matched in description of one listed stolen. Before they could set up surveillance, two unknown males returned to the vehicle. Officers made contact, and one of the males immediately fled on foot. He was captured a short distance later, but still resisted arrest. Austin Wilson, 20, was booked in jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing, resisting, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Wilson was recently released to parole.

A victim went to Golden Trails with some friends and when they were about to leave for the night, he had to use the restroom. The victim went towards the dumpsters on the east side of the parking lot to urinate when he was approached by two males whom he had seen inside the club earlier on in the night. The males were described as male Hispanic in their 20’s, medium build, one was wearing a dark hoodie and the other was wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans and had long black hair in a ponytail. Both males had guns and told the victim to empty out his pockets. Once they took his money and wallet, the victim fled the scene he ran south and tried to find help until he got to 122 W. Paxton Ave. The victim lost visual of the males who stayed in the parking lot when he ran away. He did not have any injuries as a result of the robbery.
Officer Involved Critical Incident/Robbery
271 W. 900 S.
Officers responded to a threats with a gun when they encountered the two suspects. The suspects were in the parking lot at the listed address. They both refused to comply with officers and fled the scene. Officers chased after one of the suspects, when the suspect turned a confrontation took place. Officers discharged their weapons striking the suspect. Medical was administered but the suspect died on scene.
Officers were notified a second person had come forward reporting that they had been robbed by someone at gunpoint. The victim of that robbery had been attacked after complying with the suspects commands. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Unified Police will be handling the OICI investigation.
