Officers were at the Gateway Inn on a separate call when they heard a loud commotion and a male yelling from a nearby room. Officers approached the room and knocked on the door, and a male opened the door. Upon seeing police officers, the male fled from the room, however he was quickly detained after a short foot pursuit. As officers were detaining him, the victim crawled to the door covered in blood. Officers discovered he had stab wounds to his neck, face, and large laceration to his neck. Officers quickly provided critical care to the victim which proved to be life saving measures. Medical responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was stabilized. Bobby Evans, 57, was interviewed by officers on scene and booked into jail for aggravated assault, possession of paraphernalia, and failure to stop for police.
