Burglary in Progress
805 W. Layton Ave.
Officers responded to a report of two individuals inside a secured business at the above address. Officers arrived and located Kevin Partin, 55, and Chantel Meier, 36, exiting the front door of the business. They had in their possession items belonging to the business. The two were taken into custody without incident. Both were transported and booked into jail on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Missing Endangered, Silver Alert
1832 S. 400 East
Eugene Vallee, 71, did not return home from an evening walk and the police department was notified. Eugene suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, and he was last seen walking northbound from the listed address. A Silver Alert was issued. Update: Eugene was located sitting on a porch at 1700 S. 700 E. Silver Alert cancelled.
860 N. Starcrest Dr.
Officers responded to area listed on a report of shots fired. Officers located four shell casings and two bullets on scene. A residence and vehicle were each struck twice by gunfire. Two adults and several children were inside the home at the time. There were no injuries. A dark-colored passenger car was seen leaving southbound on Starcrest Dr. shortly after the shooting.
