Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Fleeing
1450 S. West Temple St.
An officer observed Toby Ridley, 33, driving a Moped with no license plate. The officer activated his lights and Toby began to drive on the sidewalk in an attempt to evade the officer. Toby then abandoned the Moped a short distance away and fled on foot. The officer caught Toby and he was taken into custody. The moped was discovered to have been stolen. Toby was booked into jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and fleeing.

The victim was followed into the Wells Fargo parking lot by the suspect. The suspect parked behind the victim and exited his vehicle, reached back inside and retrieved a handgun. The suspect then pointed the handgun in the direction of the victims car which also had the victim’s family inside. The victim drove off and called police. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic adult in his earlier 30’s. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and weighed approximately 200 pounds. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white four door Honda Accord. There was a dealer ship logo where the front license plate should be.

Victim was dropped off at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. At this time the victim was not being very cooperative, and not providing any information about where the shooting happened, or who was involved.
