Multiple Complainants reported shots fired and multiple victims in a vehicle at Tanner Park. Responding SLCPD and UPD officers found 3 gunshot victims on the street on Heritage Way between the Tanner and Parley’s Nature Park parking lots. One male victim with multiple gunshot wounds was transported in critical condition to an area hospital. A female victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. A second male victim in critical condition was transported to an area hospital. One of the male victims later died at the hospital. A description of the vehicle was broadcast, and the suspect was later located. The suspect is a male juvenile.

The victim was in the area looking for his recently stolen bicycle. He walked by another male who claimed he was also in the area looking for his stolen motorcycle. The victim started talking to his girlfriend on his cell phone, at which point the other male splashed gasoline on the victim from a milk jug and told him he was going to light him on fire because the suspect believed the victim was recording him. The suspect then fled the scene north bound on Redwood Road in a gray Ford F350 with a stolen Utah license plate. The suspect is described as; male white, 5’10-6’00, 230 lbs., medium build.
