Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. A male made repeated calls to 911 throughout the day. After multiple calls the male began to destroy his motel room causing management of the motel to call police. When officers arrived, the male barricaded the door with items and refused to exit. Officers negotiated with him for some time until a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) responded. The MCOT team attempted to negotiate with the male but was unsuccessful. Officers eventually forced entry into the room and took the male into custody without incident. He was taken to a local hospital.
