Residents heard sounds the night before they thought were fireworks. When they went outside this morning, they found a vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Evidence was recovered on scene, there is no suspect information.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
250 E. 100 S.
An officer observed a suspicious occupied vehicle at this address. As he was checking the license plate the occupants of the vehicle exited and began to walk away. The officer discovered the vehicle was stolen and attempted to stop the occupants who immediately fled. Both occupants were found hiding in a nearby building. Officers eventually talked them out and took them into custody. Cory Henry, 33, was booked into jail for felony theft, failure to stop at command of a law enforcement officer, possession of another person’s identification document and outstanding warrants. Erika Edwards, 27, was booked for failure to stop at command of a law enforcement officer and outstanding warrants.
258 W 700 S
An officer was investigating a possible car prowl when he located the possible suspects in a parking garage. As he attempted to detain the male suspect a struggle ensued. The male was eventually taken into custody, but not before the officer sustained a minor injury. Dane Garcia, 26, was booked into jail for failure to stop at command of a law enforcement officer and interference with an arresting officer, as well as outstanding warrants. A female suspect was released at the scene.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
615 S. West Temple St.
An officer observed a stolen vehicle driving in the area. A high-hazard traffic stop was conducted, and the occupants were detained without incident. The driver, Michael Pusey, 63, was booked into jail for felony theft. The other occupants were released.
