Officers responded to the Main Street Motel on a report of shots fired. Officers located a male that had been shot, he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Officers began to search the area and found Salesi Katoa, 37, deceased from a gunshot wound. A third individual was located at a local hospital where she was seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. Her injury is not believed to be life threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

An officer stopped to assist a motorist who had driven into a ditch. A check of the plate showed the vehicle was stolen. The driver Jose Garcia, 18, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of burglary tools.
