Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Officers responded to reports of a male shooting at a vehicle. Officers found shell casings on scene and quickly developed information on the location of a suspect. Officers were able to call the suspect out of an apartment and take him into custody without incident. A stolen firearm was recovered on scene. No victims have been located at this time. David Barnett, 34, was booked into jail for felony discharge of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and public intoxication.

Officers observed a known parole fugitive in the area. She entered a vehicle and fled, striking a parked police car, and nearly hitting an officer who was on foot. She ignored commands to stop and nearly struck another officer who was on foot. Officers pursued the vehicle but terminated a short time later. The suspect has not been located.
756 S. Post St.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery and found a front door kicked in. A victim was found inside with a minor stab wound. As officers were checking the area and heard a fight. Officers announced their presence and a male exited holding a large metal fan. The male was taken into custody without incident. The victim was treated for minor injuries. Jesus Gutierres, 30, was booked into jail for aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
