601 E. 1300 S.
A father and son got into an argument with Roger Baughman, 60, at the park. Baughman produced a knife and slashed the father several time. The son tried to intervene; Baughman slashed at him but missed. Baughman tried to flee but was apprehended by officers. He was booked into jail for aggravated assault and child abuse.
15 S. 300 E.
A man who had his vehicle stolen, tracked it using a locator app and confronted the male suspect. The suspect stabbed the victim in the chest and arms and the victim fled on foot for help. Officers responded to assist but the suspect fled the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
600 S. Concord Street
Officers observed a vehicle that was listed as stolen in the parking lot. As officers went to make contact with the suspect, the suspect fled on foot. He was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. He was identified as Ake Fulilangi, 31 and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drugs, possession of paraphernalia and failure to stop at the command of law enforcement.
600 S. Pueblo St.
An officer noticed a vehicle commit several moving violations and stopped the vehicle. During the course of the investigation a stolen handgun as well as 17 pounds of methamphetamine were found. Julio Ramierz, 28, Benito Barrera-Sotelo, 32, Yesenia Escamila, 40, were arrested for multiple related charges. The street value of the methamphetamine was approximately $136,000.
