Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. 1829 S. State St
Two males were involved in a drug deal when an altercation ensued. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the torso. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. The suspect James David, 21, was taken to jail for aggravated assault.
Suspicious Vehicle, Warrants Arrests
1862 S. 200 E.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The owner of the vehicle had several felony warrants. When officers found the vehicle there were three occupants James Collins, 59, Brandi Mortensen, 38, and Christopher Massaro, 38. Massaro and Collins both had outstanding warrants, Mortensen had methamphetamine and marijuana. The owner of the vehicle, Gabriel Goldner, 41, was located inside a nearby apartment. All parties were booked into jail for their respective warrants and charges.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the ally north of club Echo. Officers recovered several shell casings from the scene. Video surveillance showed two groups of male’s exchange gunfire, but no victims came forward, and no reports of damaged property.
Fight, Assault, Taser Deployment
1055 W. North Temple
Officers responded to reports of several people fighting at the 801 Convention Center. One victim was located unconscious inside the center. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. As the crowd was dispersing several people became combative and more officers were called in. Officers tried to arrest Bryan Bahena-Guerrero, 20, Guerrero ran, and officers used a taser to take him into custody. He was booked for resisting, failure to stop and public intoxication.

Officers responded again to Club Echo on shots fired, more shell casings were found. No witnesses came forward and no victims or damage were found.
