Vandalism, Hate Crime
1760 S. 1100 E.
During the night a person etched a swastika into the glass on the front door of the synagogue, it was discovered by the Rabbi in the morning. The FBI was contacted to assist with the investigation.
1147 Ashton Ave.
An officer working in the area noticed a male that matched the description of a suspect in a burglary. The officer stopped the male and identified him as Jarod Billings, 44. Billings was taken to jail for the burglary.
1182 E. 4th Ave.
Officers responded to the city cemetery on reports of shots fired. Officers located a vehicle stuck in a drainage ditch. The vehicle had three people inside that all had gang ties. The vehicle had what appeared to be damage from gunshots. Several vehicles were seen leaving the area prior to police arriving.
