450 S. State Street
Officers responded on a report of a suspicious package on the front steps of the Matheson Courthouse. An older male had dropped a package and then wrote a note and posted it on the front of the building using a ladder he had brought with him. The Hazardous Device Unit responded and determined that the package contained personnel items.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
805 W. North Temple St.
Officers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle, the vehicle fled, and officers did not pursue. Shortly thereafter officers in an unmarked vehicle spotted the vehicle and followed it into another jurisdiction. The vehicle was stopped, and the suspect was taken into custody. Drafton Bunch 28, was booked into jail for the stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a stolen firearm.

Daniel Vanadore 28, was on Temple Square grounds, church security guards approached him and asked him to leave. Vanadore produced a box cutter razor knife and charged in their
direction in a threatening manner. Church security backed off and called police. Officers arrived and were able to take Vanadore into custody, he was booked into jail for aggravated assault.
