12:39 p.m. Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer
453 E. Garfield Ave
Officers responded to a welfare check on person that was inside a portable restroom for more than an hour. Officers contacted Pedro Rueda, 34. Rueda pulled a knife on officers as he was still inside the porta potty. Officers were able to talk Rueda into putting the knife down and he was taken to jail for aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, and paraphernalia.
3:25 a.m. Shots Fired
711 N. 1400 W.
Gang Detectives responded to Riverside Park on reports of shots fired. Officers located shell casings. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
