2:33 a.m. Aggravated Assault 960 W. North Temple St.
The victim and the suspect were arguing over money when the suspect began to assault the victim with a shovel handle. A bystander attempted to intervene and was also struck by the suspect. The victims sustained minor injuries. Anthony Lane, 53, was booked into jail for aggravated assault.
3:46 a.m. Shots Fired 567 S. 1000 W.
Officers responded to reports of three males walking in the area when gunshots were heard. Officers located shell casings scene as well as damage to a residence and three vehicles. No injuries were reported.
