Watch Command Log

The Watch Command Log is a daily summary of events of significance compiled by Watch Commanders. There are three watches in a 24-hour period: days, afternoons and graveyards. Items contained in the Watch Command Log are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Arrest information may differ from formal charges, which are filed at the discretion of the prosecuting agency.


DAY SHIFT

AFTERNOON SHIFT
1857 Industrial Accident 1971 S. 4490 W. 09-205434

The 27-year-old male victim works for Jim’s Towing. He was in the process of loading up a vehicle onto his tow truck. The vehicle somehow slid down the ramp and pinned the victim underneath. He started to cry out for help and someone from a nearby business heard the cries, used the tow truck to lift the vehicle, freeing up the victim. The Fire Department responded and transported the victim to the hospital in serious condition with a possible broken hip.

 

GRAVEYARD SHIFT

2207 Robbery with a Knife 812 E. 200 S. 09-205533

Two clerks were getting ready to close the “Dollar Tree Store” at the above location. They heard the door buzzer go off as if someone had entered the store, but couldn’t see anyone. As they closed up the store, a male suspect emerged with a large “hunting” type knife and demanded money. He had the clerks place cash in a black gym bag and then left the store in an unknown direction. There is no surveillance video of the incident. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic adult , 5 feet 3 inches tall, average build, and wearing gray sweat pants, dark colored hoodie and mask.
