Watch Command Log

The Watch Command Log is a daily summary of events of significance compiled by Watch Commanders. There are three watches in a 24-hour period: days, afternoons and graveyards. Items contained in the Watch Command Log are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Arrest information may differ from formal charges, which are filed at the discretion of the prosecuting agency.


DAY SHIFT

No significant events.


AFTERNOON SHIFT
1512 Strong Arm Robbery 1361 S. State St. 10-25427

The male and female adult victims were outside a business at this address. The suspect approached them and asked for a cigarette. He suddenly assaulted the male by kicking him several times, taking cash out of his pockets. Another male approached and assaulted the female.The robbers were seen getting into a older, white Honda Civic. One of them is described as a black adult, 6’4”, 180 lbs., thin build with shaved head. Both victims were not seriously injured. They were treated by medics and released.

1800 Narcotics Arrest 1999 W. North Temple 10-23727

The Narcotics squad served a warrant in unit #18 of the Chateau Motel. William Clarkson (05-23-77) had approximately seven grams of cocaine on his person. He was booked for possession of a controlled substance.


GRAVEYARD SHIFT
0320 Felony Copper Theft 756 S. 200 E. 10-25792

Officers were called to a Rocky Mountain Power substation. Upon arriving they found someone trying to hide a large bag under a tree. The bag was full of stolen copper wire. A K-9 unit arrived and successfully found another suspect nearby. $5000 worth of copper was recovered. Rodney Schneider (06-30-65) and Andrew Griffith (08-08-62) were booked for felony theft.
