Watch Command Log

The Watch Command Log is a daily summary of events of significance compiled by Watch Commanders. There are three watches in a 24-hour period: days, afternoons and graveyards. Items contained in the Watch Command Log are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Arrest information may differ from formal charges, which are filed at the discretion of the prosecuting agency.
DAY SHIFT

Police were called when someone reported a female, armed with a stick, was “attacking trees, buildings, and vehicles” while yelling at imaginary people. As an officer tried to calm her she began swinging at him with a piece of galvanized fence post. He responded with pepper spray, gaining control. The 43-year-old female was cited, cleared by medics, and transported for a psychiatric evaluation. There was some minor damage to a vehicle and no one was injured.

SLCPD Robbery detectives along with the FBI attempted to take Justin J. Hutchinson (03/06/76), aka Hutchison into custody for two recent bank robberies. He refused to come out of the residence. SWAT was called out but detectives were able to talk Hutchinson out of the residence after some 30 minutes.
AFTERNOON SHIFT

Narcotics detectives received information about a large quantity of drugs being delivered into the city and made the traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. A kilo of cocaine was seized. Ramon Perez-Insunza (01/03/86) and Rigoberto Lopez- Osuna (6-2-88) were booked for Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

A search warrant yielded some 200 grams of Marijuana, a large sum of cash, and a handgun. Drug packaging items, scales, and glassware paraphernalia and an automobile were also seized. Tyson Romero (04/06/86) was booked for Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person and drug paraphernalia.
