Denzel Goins (9/2/91), who lives in the same apartment complex as the victim, came over earlier and spoke to the victim’s mother. The mother believed that Goins was acting strangely and asked him to leave. A short time later the 5-year-old victim left the apartment to go to the park. He was approached by the suspect who took him by the hand and led him off. A neighbor assisted the complainant to find her son and then called police. Officers were able to find the suspect nearby and took him into custody. Denzel was booked into jail for child kidnapping.

An anonymous source provided a tip to the police department through the TipSoft service yesterday morning on two homicide suspects who were potentially in the shelter area of Salt Lake City. The police department’s Information Center verified the tip information and provided the suspects information and photos to all officers. Officers were in the area of the shelter and spotted the two suspects: Jonathan Bess (4/30/91) and Brian Bess (1/19/89). They were both booked into jail for their outstanding warrants related to a homicide in San Jose, California.

Randall Hudson (11/14/52) assaulted a female victim with an unknown object. The victim sustained injuries to her head but was able to flee out of the house. Randall entered the basement of the above address and held another adult female hostage at knifepoint. He refused to comply with officer’s demand but after a taser deployment he was taken into custody. Randall was booked into jail for aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
