A 47-year old male was repairing a handgun when it discharged, striking him in the lower leg. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Bike officers observed what they believed to be a drug deal in a restaurant parking lot on 2100 South and Douglas St. Officers initiated a traffic stop and found the 33-year old male driver had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Search incident to arrest turned up 34 balloons (7grams) of heroin and 16 balloons (4 grams) of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia and cash. The suspect was refused at the jail for medical reasons. Felony drug charges will be screened.
